My Agenda: Homegrown Hope for District 5

Fully Funded Public Schools

I believe in fully funded and well-staffed rural public schools that prioritize local resources, community wellness, and free school breakfasts for all students. While others have voted for mandates like the LEARNS Act (Act 237) that funnel taxpayer funding toward private school vouchers, my focus remains on the rural public schools that serve 95% of our children.

Protecting Our Land & Local Autonomy

I vehemently oppose "shadow government" boards and the use of eminent domain by Industrial Development Authorities to seize family farms. I will fight to protect property rights and ensure that local property owners in areas like Washington County are not outvoted by outside interests. Furthermore, I support a moratorium on data center projects that threaten our community, specifically those that drive up local power bills and strain our precious water supply. My commitment is to my constituent's and my local community.

Growing the Vote

I am committed to making voter registration more accessible. Along with my colleague Courtney King i will be supporting initiatives like the "Grow the Vote" initiative, I will work to ensure that rural voices lead local policy decisions, removing unnecessary hurdles and ensuring transparency in our democracy.

Healthcare & Human Rights

My platform champions equality and protects reproductive health. I stand against extreme government overreach in healthcare and focus on shared humanity, ensuring that all Arkansans have access to the care and respect they deserve.

Family Affordability & Tax Relief

I believe in a "Homegrown Hope" that prioritizes family affordability over corporate welfare. I will advocate for practical solutions like grocery tax relief and universal broadband infrastructure, rather than rolling back child labor protections or prioritizing tax cuts for the wealthiest at the expense of our community.
